Why act now?

SmarTeam is an end-of-life platform: active development by Dassault Systèmes has largely stopped, market know-how is becoming scarce, and every new CATIA or Windows generation increases the operating risk. If you plan the transition while the legacy system is still running reliably, you migrate from a position of strength – without time pressure and with properly cleaned data.

The transition is also the opportunity to modernise data quality and processes: duplicates and orphaned records stay behind in the legacy system, while structures and metadata arrive in the target system checked and standards-compliant.

Our approach: on-demand migration

Instead of a risky big-bang switch, our in-house on-demand migration proceeds step by step: individual projects are transferred selectively and the associated users are moved to the new platform – everyone else keeps working undisturbed in the legacy system. A delta migration provides the current data set precisely at the cut-over date.
